AGIOS GORDIOS Travel Guide CORFU - Where to stay in AGIOS GORDIOS Corfu ...

Agios Gordios, halfway down Corfu’s west coast, has a mile-long stretch of sand backed by high cliffs which tumble dramatically into the sea. At one end lies a tiny offshore island, looking as if it has broken off the rockface and splashed into the water. As a rule, there’s not much going on in lovely Agios Gordios. During the day, most people are either turning golden brown on the beach while catching up on their reading, or exploring the pine-clad hills behind the resort, and nightlife is limited to a handful of friendly bar/disco bars. You can take a bus over to Corfu town, about sixteen kilometres away, to enjoy the hustle and bustle and get in some serious shopping - but we bet you’ll be glad to get back to the tranquil beauty of Aghios Gordios.
