Kavos is a village in the region of Lefkimmi, in southern Corfu, where tourism has been developed during the last twenty years. If your full fortnight of sun and sand includes plans to party by night and chill by day …holidays in Kavos are designed with you in mind. The place is packed with bars and clubs … and the bars and clubs are packed with people whose idea of a good time is likely to match your own. In Kavos, holidays neatly divide into two time zones – under-the-sun and after-dark. For the former there's a fabulous sandy beach stretching five miles from end to end – so plenty of snoozing space there. If you've got the energy to get active, there are watersports from pedaloes to parasailing. And while the beach is fairly narrow, its gentle slope into the sea gives you broad shallows – perfect for lazy floats on a lilo. The resort has more little shops than you'll ever need for anything from T-shirts to coffee cups. And, along with a couple of traditional tavernas, there are bags of cafes where you can grab a burger lunch or order an English breakfast – whatever time you wake. So sustenance can be pretty cheap.
